Located between Sudbury and North Bay, Ontario, the town of St Charles has quickly emerged as one of the best fundraising town in the region.


Northern Ontario residents enjoy the wilderness areas, parks, lakes and rivers. For those who are nature lovers, these areas can be accessed by car/truck, boats, ATV's, bikes, snowmobiles or by simply walking to enjoy what nature has to offer.


Our town does offer many recreational pleasures such as our annual "Big Bear Rally" which is held every year on the last Saturday of April. It's more than an ATV rally because it's an experience that is unforgettable. Proceeds from the "Big Bear Rally" will help generate funds for the St. Charles Fireman Volunteer Association, St Charles Parish, Club Alidor, and the Cancer Society sponsored by the Golf for Life previously named the "Relay for Life".


If you like fishing, the “Ron Senecal West Arm Memorial Pike Tournament” in June is the tournament for you. Proceeds from this tournament go to Club Alidor to ensure that the elderly and other members of our community have the opportunity to lead healthier lifestyles through social interaction, physical activities and community support initiatives. Anglers compete in our tournament for cash prizes as well as unique set of table prizes. This tournament also gives the anglers a chance to qualify for the Provincial Pike Classic that is held in the fall.


Our annual “Family Slo-pitch Tournament” brings families together of all ages in order to play this team sport which is held every year on the long weekend of August. Many families take this opportunity to host family reunions in order to reconnect with family members and friends. This tournament helps with the up-keep and expenses of the St-Charles Parish.


Other activities organized by our town volunteers include: the “ Hockey Family Tournament” in February and the annual “ Golf for Life” tournament in June. You may also find other activities at our local bowling alley, arena and local “Club Alidor”.


You don’t have to travel far to be part of our annual events. Come and enjoy our outdoor and indoor activities while discovering our nature’s beauty.
